We grow an extensive range of certified organic herbs and vegetables, including heritage varieties.

Located at Bellellen on the eastern slopes of the Grampians, we are in an area that is traditionally a non-horticultural area. This can produce challenges so we try to grow varieties that cope well with the local conditions. Our farm is a family property – Rod was born into a conventional mixed, broad acre, farming family and adapted to certified organic horticulture in the mid nineties, continually trialling and modifying crops to suit seasonal and market conditions.

Our philosophy is about caring for the soil, ensuring adequate conservative irrigation management, seed saving suitable varieties, and timely propagation. As advocates of the medicinal properties of chemical free food and the general health benefits of eating well, we aim to supply the best possible fresh produce with genuine integrity to our valued consumers.

The privilege of being an accredited stall holder at Victorian farmers’ markets has been remarkable. We greatly value the interaction with market managers, fellow stallholders and most of all, the loyal band of regular customers with whom we enjoy laughter and banter on topics such as what they cook from what we grow. Constant sharing of knowledge is stimulating. As tiring as it is to travel six hours on a round trip, we love our Saturdays!
