We’ll soon be announcing our Fair Food Week activities for 2014. Meantime, check out a glimpse of what we did last year:

SFM & Fair Food Week 2013

Sadly, we didn’t win…

But congratulations to the SAGE Farmers’ Market on their win!

We’ve made the grade!

The finalists in the 2014 delicious Produce awards have been announced .. and we’re thrilled to say we are among the final 3 nominated for Outstanding Farmers’ Market! The market is now in its 9th year of our partnership with Melbourne Farmers’ Markets and embodies our guiding principles of good, clean, fair food perfectly. Several of our stallholders are also finalists .. congratulations to Schulz Organic Dairy, Gundowring Fine Foods, Angelica Organic, Barham Avocados, Moondara Blueberries, Yarra Valley Caviar and Warialda Belted Galloways (some of these folk had more than one product in the finalists!).

Paul West, host of River Cottage Australia, hit the road with Subaru to meet local food producers at the Slow Food Melbourne Farmers’ Market

Our May 24th farmers’ market at Abbotsford Convent hosted River Cottage Australia filming “Paul at the markets”, a special web edition of the program. View it here along with a tasty recipe featuring Milawa Freerange Poultry, Mt Zero Olives and Jones Potatoes among others.
