We want to deliver good tasting, fresh produce to customers. We grow slowly, traditionally, using our own seeds, following the way my parents farmed. Our farm is in Kinglake, where the seasonal changes and weather can affect us quite a lot. Its colder here than some parts of Victoria so sometimes that means our produce isn’t ready as early as other areas.
Farmers’ markets mean lifestyle for us, but for the customers it’s about freshness – everything’s picked a day or two before the market. Also you’re dealing directly with the farmer: I grew these vegetables, I harvested them and I’m here selling them so if there are any questions about the produce I can give you a clear answer. It’s the next best thing to you growing and harvesting the food yourself.
